29. Videokunst Förderpreis Bremen - Ausschreibung
Seit 1991 vergibt das Filmbüro Bremen den Videokunst Förderpreis. Die aktuelle Ausschreibung läuft bis zum 31.07.2025. Die Ausstellung der Arbeiten zum 29. Videokunst Förderpreis wird vom 14.08. - 19.09.2026 in der Galerie Mitte (galeriemitte.eu) stattfinden.

Im Juli bietet das Filmbüro mittwochs ein Zoom für Fragen an.

Insgesamt 10.000 Euro Preisgeld, aufgeteilt auf mindestens zwei Projekte, stellt das Filmbüro Bremen alle zwei Jahre für die Realisierung von Videokunst-Ideen zur Verfügung. Das eingereichte Projekt sollte daher möglichst zwischen 3.000 bis maximal 7.000 Euro zur Realisierung benötigen.
Willkommen sind alle Facetten: klassische, (non)lineare, audio-visuelle Projektideen, solche mit Installationscharakter sowie all jene, die sich an den Grenzen der Medienkunst bewegen. Gefördert werden Projekte, die bisher noch nicht realisiert wurden.
Einer der Förderpreise ist einem Bremer Projekt / Projekt mit Bremenbezug vorbehalten.
Die Ausstellung wird vom 14.08. - 19.09.2026 in der Galerie Mitte stattfinden.
Regularien
Zur Teilnahme eingeladen sind Künstler:innen aus dem deutschsprachigen Raum und den Bremer/Bremerhavener Partnerstädten. Studierende sind willkommen. Es gibt keine Altersbeschränkung. Mindestens einen der beiden Preise vergibt die Jury an Bewerber:innen aus Bremen, Bremerhaven oder deren Partnerstädten (Besançon, Cherbourg, Dalian, Durban, Frederikshavn, Gdansk, Grimsby, Haifa, Izmir, Kaliningrad, Pori, Riga, Szczecin, Windhoek und Odesa).
Die Einreichung sollte in deutscher Sprache erfolgen, ist aber auch in englisch zulässig. Es kann jeweils nur ein Konzept vorgelegt werden. Die Preise werden von einer unabhängigen Fachjury vergeben.
Einreichung bis Do. 31. Juli 2025
Die Einreichung umfasst zwei PDF-Dokumente:

- das ausgefüllte und gespeicherte Anmeldeformular inkl. kurzer Projektbeschreibung (max. drei Sätze) und Verweis auf ein Referenzprojekt im Internet (Youtube, vimeo o.ä.; ggf. passwortgeschützt).

Außerdem ein eigenes PDF-Dokument mit:
- einer detaillierten Projektbeschreibung (als Text oder als kommentierte Bildstrecke, Skizze, Animation o.ä.) - Auflistung der für die Ausstellung der Arbeit nötigen Geräte (bei installativen Arbeiten zusätzlich auch eine Aufbauskizze) und die Info, ob das Projekt mit Raumton und/oder Kopfhörern geplant ist. - grobem Kostenplan für die Produktion - wichtig: Die Kosten für die Ausstellung müssen NICHT in diesem Budget mit aufgeführt werden, es handelt sich hier um das Produktionsbudget zur Realisierung der Video-Arbeit. Für die Ausstellung wird es ein eigenes kleines Budget geben.
- einer Biografie und Werkübersicht (Kurzfassung).
Hinweis: Akzeptiert zur Einreichung wird neben dem Anmeldeformular ausschließlich eine PDF-Datei. Die Dateigröße darf 5 MB nicht überschreiten.

29th Bremen Award for Video Art Call for Entries
Every two years, the Filmbüro Bremen provides a total of 10,000 EUR in prize money, divided between at least two projects, for the realisation of video art ideas. The submitted project should therefore preferably require between 3,000 and a maximum of 7,000 euros for realisation.
All facets of video art are welcome: classical, (non)linear, audio-visual project ideas, those with installation character as well as ideas that push the borders of media art. Funding is available for projects that have not yet been realised.
One of the prizes is reserved for a project from Bremen/project with a connection to Bremen.
The exhibition will take place from August 14th to September 19th, 2026, at Galerie Mitte.
Regulations
Video artists from all German-speaking countries, as well as those from Bremen's or Bremerhaven's twin cities are invited to apply. Students are welcome. The call is not age-restricted. The jury will award at least one of the prizes to an applicant from Bremen, Bremerhaven or their twin cities (Besançon, Cherbourg, Dalian, Durban, Frederikshavn, Gdansk, Grimsby, Haifa, Izmir, Kaliningrad, Pori, Riga, Szczecin, Windhoek and Odesa).
Applications must be submitted in German or English. Each applicant can only submit one concept. The prizes will be awarded by an independent jury.

- a detailed description of the project (as text or annotated photo spread, sketch, animation, etc.)
- budget plan for the production (approximate) - Important: Costs for the presentation of the work do NOT have to be included in this budget, which is meant solely for the realisation of the video art project. There will be a small additional budget for the exhibition.
